My best friend went to a math competition, rather confident in her abilities. She did not place. Neither of us really like the typical methods of consolation. So, in an attempt to both uphold our long-standing game of mockery and console her for her insufferably poor performance, I baked her a cake. Yeah, we’re like real-life Dave and Rose.
